Jon Abbott, Technical Director

Jon Abbott was appointed the Technical Director of Matrix-Data Solutions in February 2007. Leading the largest internal department, and the heart of the company’s business, he is tasked with developing systems to support the business’ drive to increase its share of the customer and business intelligence market.

He is responsible for all the teams that develop and implement tailored solutions for some of the largest financial companies in the UK as well as those that maintain Matrix-Data Solutions' entire IT infrastructure.

He continues to lead the drive to improve data quality and operational processes surrounding the company’s core databases. Jon also ensures the security of all of our proprietary data sets as well as highly sensitive client information from our customers.

Jon has more than 10 years experience within the financial services sector having previously worked at Credit Suisse in the role of Project Manager. Here he designed and implemented a Management Information System synthesising data from a variety of CRM systems and ad hoc sources for reporting client interactions and analyst activity for operational management up to board level.

He also managed multi-site development and project teams working on the global roll-out of CRM and middle- and back-office systems. Prior to that Jon worked at Abbey National Treasury Services where he headed the development team, working on the implementation of trading, finance, settlement and risk systems.

He graduated from University of Manchester in 1987 with honours in Computing and Information Systems.
