MyLocalAdviser.co.uk has had a facelift

As part of our ongoing commitment to regularly research and update the Matrix Financial Intermediary Database we have recently revamped and re-launched MylocalAdviser.co.uk, the independent online directory for financial intermediaries.

All the additional information that we gain from registrants is thoroughly checked and verified against the FSA register before being added to give more depth and intelligence to our database.

The look and feel of the site has been completely updated and modernised. We have added a whole host of new features and services to empower financial intermediaries to better market their businesses to consumers. The secure Adviser Zone now includes hits, tips and useful links to help IFAs with their marketing activities.

The key features of the service for IFAs are:

• Registration and lead generation are completely free.
• There is no cost to enhance or update a basic listing.
• Adviser listing includes Google map to show the location of the office.
• Link directly to company’s website.
• Link directly to contact email.
• Listing can include company logo.
• Secure Adviser Zone with hints, tips and links to assist IFAs with marketing.

Some MylocalAdviser.co.uk statistics as at October 2008:

• MylocalAdviser.co.uk currently attracts about 250,000 individual visitors a year, approximately 21,000 per month.
• These visitors do an average of 50,000 to 60,000 financial adviser searches each month.
• Each month visitors view approximately 75,000 detailed listings and this has been as high as 141,000.
• We hold details of 32,552 outlets. Of these 22,086 offer investment and pension advice, 31,502 deal in general insurance, 26,225 specialise in mortgages and 26,430 give advice on personal protection.
